Who the heck are Stones River Pilots anyway? Just some old guys (two white-hairs and two no-hairs) and one young-ish one (the one with dark hair and plenty of it) that like to get together and rock! We all love to play. We REALLY love to play! We do a broad range of tunes that you know and love from the 1950’s ’60’s, ’70’s and ’80’s... Classic rock, blues, R&B and a just a pinch of country, all with that extra-special “Pilot’s Seasoning”.

Once you fly with the Pilots, you’ll never go back! Call us for your wedding, corporate event, class reunion, birthday party, pool party, ice cream social, fish fry, corn-shucking... like we said, we LOVE to play! We’ll play anywhere!

The boys in the band:

Rodney “Hot Rod” Wright is a very good drummer and has played professionally. Unfortunately, he doesn't play drums in SRP. His father-in-law, Norris plays drums because he can't play anything else and Rodney is kind enough to step aside and let him. Rodney plays rhythm and lead guitar and also is the vocalist. By day he is a financial numbers juggler and investment advisor.

Norris “N Sink” Hall is the drummer. He's been playing drums off and on since high school (which for him was a looooong time ago). His drumming skills are off and on (mostly on) as well. He is an artist/illustrator during the day – and many nights, too. Visit his studio website to see the stuff he makes. Visit his other website to see examples of his illustration work. His soon-to-be-famous cake toppers can be found here.

Melvin “Sarge” Cunningham is the bass player. By day he is one of Murfreesboro's finest. He also does a lot of work in the community setting up audio/PA for events around town.

Alan “Snax” Daigre plays keyboards and sings. His "real job" is making beautiful hand crafted furniture. If he played keyboards and sang as well as he makes chairs, we would all be famous by now. Alan’s website.

Charlie “Motel 6” Davidson, plays a smokin’ lead guitar. With a name like “Charlie Davidson” he has to be good.

Need guitar lessons? Steve Frey is the man! Check out his info here.

OK, how about the name? Well, Murfreesboro, TN (where we live) is on the Stones River, and there is another "obscure" band out there you may have heard of called Stone Temple Pilots... So, there you go. We just thought it was kinda funny. Our buddy Antsy McClain of the Trailer Park Troubadours suggested "Shirley Temple Pilots" but we already had the business cards printed.
